Creating Shortcuts Using Drag & Drop

To create a shortcut on the toolbar, just drag it to the True Launch Bar toolbar. The regular Drag&Drop rules are applicable:

Holding the SHIFT key pressed while dragging a file/folder ­– TLB will move the file/folder to the toolbar. The original file/folder will be deleted.

Holding the CTRL key pressed while dragging a file/folder ­– TLB will copy the file/folder to the toolbar. The original file/folder will be preserved.

Holding the ALT key pressed while dragging a file/folder ­– TLB will create a shortcut to the original file. The original file/folder will be preserved.

You can also drag files/folders by holding down the right mouse button. When you release the mouse button, TLB will let you choose what is to be done next:

  • Copy Here - will copy the file/folder to the toolbar.
  • Move Here - will move the file/folder to the toolbar.
  • Create Shortcut(s) Here - will create a shortcut to the file/folder on the toolbar.
  • Create Menu Here - will create a virtual folder, i.e. menu reflecting the content of the folder being dragged. This command is only applicable to folders.
  • Cancel - cancels the drag action.
