Using Drag & Drop

TCI is compatible with Windows' Drag-and-Drop facility.

You can create a new tab by dragging a console application to the tab bar.

To add a filename to the command line using drag and drop simply drag the file from another application using the mouse, and release the mouse button with the file icon anywhere inside the TCI window. The full name of the file will be pasted onto the command line at the current cursor position.

TCI is a drag and drop "client", which means it can accept files dragged in from other applications and paste their names into the current active session as described above. It is not a drag and drop "server", so you cannot drag filenames from the TCI window into other applications. However you can copy filenames and other text from the TCI Window to other applications using the clipboard.
