Noise Reduction (available in full version only) effect reduces all the background noise while leaving useful signal for the most part intact.

Possibilities

Noise Reduction effect uses spectral subtraction method to decrease the background noise. It can almost completely remove constant noise or noise that is slowly changing in time. Noise spectrum is taken in pauses when the sound level is less than the user-defined threshold.

Description

Noise Reduction

  • Amount - the amount of noise to be removed. Greater percentage removes more noise but may distort the useful signal.
  • Smoothing - This parameter defines how fast noise spectrum should be updated. Greater percentage results in high smoothing of noise spectrum and low adaptation speed, little percentage provides quicker adaptation, but noise spectrum estimation gets less accurate.
  • Threshold - this parameter defines the threshold below which the sound is treated as noise. To enable adjusting this parameter select the check-box.
  • Noise prediction - gathers information about noise in advance. That feature helps obtain more information about noise.
  • FFT Size - the length in samples of Fast Fourier Transform that is used to obtain the sound spectrum and then to convert it back to sound after noise subtraction. Bigger FFT Size performs better result but it takes more CPU time. Usually 2048 is good enough.

Reverberation (available in full version only) complex effect creates reverberation, making the sound deeper and richer.

Possibilities

Reverberation can be described as a reflected sound or a series of echoes. This effect allows to simulate the ambiance of almost any room. To produce a plausible 3D effect set the Volume value of the Primary and Secondary reflections low, the Delay value - average and the Volume feedback value low.

Description

Reverberation

Dry Out fader indicates percentage of input signal to be directed unaltered to the output. E.g. when Dry Out slider is set to 50%, the output signal will be the sum between half of the input signal intensity and the result achieved by processing of the input signal with current effect. When Dry Out slider is set to 0%, the output signal will be only the result achieved by processing of the input signal with current effect.

  • Mute check-box for Dry Out is used to switch off the main signal.
  • Mute for Primary Reflections is used to switch off the first delayed signal.
  • Line for Primary Reflections is used to definite reflection to be adjusted. By default the first reflection is selected.
  • Line for Secondary Reflections is used to definite reflection to be adjusted. By default the first reflection is selected.
  • Primary Reflections Volume is used to adjust the volume of the first delayed signal.
  • Primary Reflections Delay is used to set signal delay time before its repetition.
  • Secondary reflections Volume In is used to adjust the volume of incoming signal for the secondary repetitions.
  • Secondary Reflections Volume Out is used to adjust the volume of outgoing signal for the secondary repetitions.
  • Secondary reflections Feedback Volume is used to set the volume of the reflected signals.
  • Secondary reflections Delay is used to set the signal delay time before its repetition.

Tremolo (available in full version only) complex effect creates signal vibration with a pre-defined frequency.

Possibilities

  • Allows to simulate voice vibration.
  • You can also use this effect to create a hoarse voice.
  • Moreover the effect is used to diversify the main signal with a background soft vibration.

Description

Tremolo

Dry Out fader indicates percentage of input signal to be directed unaltered to the output. In other words, when Dry Out slider is set to 50%, the output signal will be the sum between half of the input signal intensity and the result achieved by processing of the input signal with current effect. When Dry Out slider is set to 0%, the output signal will be only the result achieved by processing of the input signal with current effect.

  • Mute check-box is used to switch off the main signal.
  • Invert check-box is used to turn the phase upside-down to achieve more interesting results.
  • Lock channels check-box is used to lock or unlock the channels.
  • Volume fader is used to adjust the modified signal volume.
  • Frequency fader is used to set the vibration speed.

Vibrato (available in full version only) effect is used to modify the composition performance speed with a definite frequency.

Possibilities

The effect modifies the composition performance speed according to sinusoidal law. With the help of this effect you can regulate the frequency and the speed changing depth. For example, if you set the frequency to 0.5 Hz and the depth value high enough, you can get a sound resembling a unevenly rotating gramophone record.

Description

Vibrato

There are 3 parameters that you can adjust:

  • Frequency fader is used to adjust the composition speed changing.
  • Dry/Wet fader is used to set the percentage correlation of the incoming and outgoing signals.
  • Depth fader is used to set the maximum change of the composition performing speed.

Volume effect changes the signal amplitude.

Description

Volume

  • The Left slider allows to independently control the left channel.
  • The Right slider allows to independently control the right channel.
  • Lock channels check-box is used to lock or unlock the channels.

Wave (available in full version only) effect employs periodic functions to create the illusion of roaming in space sounds.

Possibilities

  • Helps make sounds cyclically move from one channel to another.
  • You can also use this effect to create the illusion of moving around sounds by setting sinus function for one channel and cosine function for the other one.

Description

Dry Out fader indicates percentage of input signal to be directed unaltered to the output. E.g. when Dry Out slider is set to 50%, the output signal will be the sum between half of the input signal intensity and the result achieved by processing of the input signal with current effect. When Dry Out slider is set to 0%, the output signal will be only the result achieved by processing of the input signal with current effect.

  • Mute check-box is used to switch off the main signal.
  • Invert check-box is used to turn inversion on/off.
  • Output volume fader is used to set the general volume of the signal.
  • Frequency fader is used to choose the frequency of the modulation function.
  • Lock channels check-box is used to lock or unlock the channels.
  • Wave type is used to select a different wave type.
