Specify capture rate, playback rate, and compression options:

  • specify capture frame rate
    • You can enter the frame rate in frames/sec. Of course a higher capture frame rate usually produces smoother videos. But because screen video capture is a CPU consuming task, high capture frame rate will lead to larger file size and more system resources will be required.
  • playback frame rate
    • the playback frame rate is the speed you playback the captured video. commonly it is equal to the capture frame rate, while you can also enter a Higher/lower value to get some special effects.
  • Compression
    • you can select a codec( compress-decompress driver) to compress the video file. if you don't know which codec to choose, you can select "Auto Select" and FrontCam will choose a appropriate codec for you. if you don't want the video to be compressed. you should select "Full Frames".
