Search for text

To search for text

  1. On the Search menu, click Find.
  2. In the Search for box, enter the text that you want to search for.
  3. Select any other options that you want.
  4. Click here to find more about options.
  5. Click Find Next.

To search for text in files

  1. On the Search menu, click Find in Files.
  2. In the Look in box, enter the folder where to look for files or click Browse to pick a folder.
  3. Near the Look in box, select or type in file mask (e.g. *.* or *.htm).
  4. In the Search for box, enter the text you want to find.
  5. Select any other options that you want.
  6. Click here to find more about options.
  7. Click Find.

Notes

  • You can also click Find in Files Find in Files on the Search toolbar.
  • Searching through large amounts of files may take a while.
