Create New File & HTML Document

Create a new file

You can create a new PHP, HTML, XHTML, CSS, WML, ASP, XML, Perl or other document from scratch or instant template.

To create an empty file

• On the File menu, click New.
• Click the type of the document you wish to create
• Click OK.

To create new file from a template

• On the File menu, click New from Template.
• In the New from Template window locate and click template you wish to use for your new document.
• Click OK.

Notes

• To create an empty document of the default type (specified in Preferences), just click New on the toolbar.
• You can use an arrow near toolbar button New , to quickly create an empty file of a specific type.

Create a new HTML document

You can create an empty HTML document or use one of available templates.

To create an empty HTML document

• On the File menu, click New.
• Select HTML document type.
• Click OK.

To create an HTML document from a template

• On the File menu, click New from Template.
• In the New from Template window, click HTML tab and then click template you wish to use for your HTML document.
• Click OK.

Note

If you want to add PHP code to your new HTML document, you must save your HTML document as PHP script first.
