Input Tab

The "Input" tab is used to tell HTMLProtector which HTML files you would like to use and define the file type; the interface is illustrated below.

"Protect all files in a folder": If you would like to encrypt all of the files that are in a specified directory, you can use this option. You can either type in the path or use the "Browse" feature to specify the directory that contains the files. For the "Mask" portion, use the wild card character to specify which file extensions you would like to protect; "*.htm" and "*.html" are the default. If you would like to encrypt the subdirectories of this folder recursively, select "Include subfolders".

"Protect following HTML files": This is the option to choose if you have several files that are located in different directories that you would like to encode. Press the "Add" button to bring up a dialogue box that will allow you to choose several files. Also, you can drag files directly from windows explorer into the list. You may drag more than more HTML files from windows explorer and drop them into this list box also. If necessary, you can delete a select file by clicking the "Remove" button.

"Site root folder": Specify the folder where all files that belong to your site reside. Only files inside that folder are considered a part of the site. This field is necessary when you enable advanced image protection options. If an incorrect value is entered with this field, some protected image file will probably not be generated in output directory after protection.

"File type": Choose the type of files you want to encode; your options are "Generic HTML Page" (generic web pages), "ASP Page" (web pages containing ASP scripts), "External Java Script File" (external java script files), "PHP Page" (web pages containing PHP scripts), "JSP Page" (web pages containing JSP scripts), "ASP.NET Page" (web pages containing ASP.NET scripts), "ColdFusion Page" (web pages containing ColdFusion scripts), "Server-side include Page" (web pages containing server side include code) and "EBay HTML Page" (web page for EBay listing). If "Auto Recognition" option is chosen, the file type will be determined by its extension automatically.
