Use Audio File Button

Use Audio File

This button may be used to pass IVOS some audio file to be recognized. Pressing Use Audio File envolves Open File dialog, where standard *.wav file may be selected. Selected audio file is proposed to contain some speech commands.

When user passes audio file to IVOS, it stops listening to microphone, reads audio file, executes commands contained in this file, and returns to initial state.

You can use this button to convert your .WAV file into a series of commands in the following way.

  1. Go to command mode
  2. Click on the "Use audio file" button and choose the .WAV file you stored on your computer and click on the open button.
  3. Wait for a second or two and your commands will be executed

Alternatively this mode can be used for making transcriptions of recorded voice. To achieve that, you should use this button when the program is in dictation mode.

You can use this button to convert your .WAV file into dictation in the following way.

  1. Open windows word or notepad or any of your favorite word processor.
  2. Go to dictation mode.
  3. Click on the "Use audio file" button and choose the .WAV file you stored on your computer and click on the open button.
  4. Wait for a second or two and your saved speech will be printed on the word processor.

Use Audio File button is available from Voice Bar in expanded mode only.

Use Audio File command may also be found in the pop-up menu available from IVOS system tray icon.
