Registry Backup and Restore
The Registry Backup and Restore tool allows you to backup and restore your registry at any time.
The wizard is pretty self-explanatory. Please read the instructions available in the wizard. In spite of the safety measures which are already in Windows, the registry can get corrupted. That's why it's good to back up your registry from time to time.
The first page of the wizard allows you to select between two operations: backup or restore.
Please note that, when you perform a registry backup, the system will appear to lock. This happens because of the very large number of registry reads needed in order to copy the entire registry, and may take several minutes.
When you restore the registry, your computer will restart (after asking you, of course), so please make sure you save all your open documents, work, etc.
