Configuring Options

The options tab within WhoHasNT offers a number of options to control the way WhoHasNT works.

Details Below:

Confirm on Clear Connection

When clearing connections, WhoHasNT will prompt for a Yes/NO confirmation prior to clearing it.

Controls whether files, or files and directories appear in the right handle panel of the explorer view

Try Direct API's followed by WhoHasNT service

By default, WhoHasNT will attempt to check the files using the permissions of the logged on user. If that encounters an error, it will automatically attempt to contact the WhoHasNT service on the server.

Use Direct API's Only

WhoHasNT will only attempt to use your own permissions to check files. It will not attempt to contact the service.

Use WhoHasNT Service Only

WhoHasNT will not attempt to use direct API's. It will only communicate with the WhoHasNT service.

Client Relative Filename Format

The list of open files will be displayed in a format using the drive mappings of the Client workstation

Server Relative Filename Format

The list of open files will be displayed in the drive mapping format of the server holding the files
