Textanz Wordforms
In this tab, Textanz counts frequencies of strings of given length (minimal or exact length is specified in Options) . String can be complete word or only part of the word, but it can not contain non-alphanumeric characters. Wordforms tab is helpful when we want to find a certain word and all its forms with various prefixes and suffixes.
When calculation is finished, Textanz displays the results in the form of a table consisting of three columns:
- wordform - the found wordform
- frequency - number of found occurrences
- length - number of characters
- dispersion - This number shows, how close to each other are positions of the wordform in text. Smaller dispersion points to shorter distance between the cases.
Like in other tabs, each column header acts as button used for rows sorting . Headers have sort markers (arrows indicating ascending or descending order) and sort indexes. Sort index is a column position in the sorting process when data is being sorted by several columns sequentially.
Context menu for selected wordform is similar to menu in Phrase frequency tab. The only different is context tooltip , called by dropdown button. In wordforms, tooltip displays all full words that contains the selected wordform as a part:

Using dropdown button in Wordforms tab
"Find" field acts as incremental locator. Typing the word character by character sets cursor to the nearest word in wordforms list. |
