Using Filters
The powerful filter options available in 123LogAnalyzer is what makes it better then other log analyzing programs. They allow you to do deeper and more specific analyzing. To use filters simply ensure there is a check in the box in front of "Use filters to do deeper research..." then click the "Setting" button.
Clicking the "Setting" button will start the filter wizard. You can Add a new filter, Change an existing filter, and Remove an existing filter. You can also Load and Save filters. After you are finished setting your filters click OK.
Note: Using a single filter is pretty great but combining the filters is what makes 123LogAnalyzer so powerful. For example not only can you see how many visitors visited the "BuyNow" page, you can also see how those people who viewed the "BuyNow" page view other pages on your web site, what are their browsing sequence, how many files did they download, where did those visitors come from, what search keywords did they use to get to your web site? Another example is you can combine filters to find out which visitor's from Europe viewed both your "BuyNow" page and "SpecialOffer" page to see how they react to your marketing effort.

File Names: This is where you enter specific file name(s) you want to filter. For example if your download page is named download.htm and your download file is named setup.exe you would put "download.htm setup.exe" using a space to separate the file name. You can choose to make the filter Case Sensitive (capital and small letters have to match exactly). You can also choose whether you want to match visitors who accessed ANY of the files listed or ALL of the files listed. |
