Criteria Pairwise Judgments
To derive the weights and calculate the recommendation results the entire model must be judged. To judge the model pairwise comparisons are made at each level in the hierarchy. Once all of the criteria pairwise judgments are made the criteria are weighted. Once all of the alternative pairwise judgments have been made with respect to each of the lowest level criteria the recommendation is calculated.
To make the pairwise judgments select the "Pairwise" tab and select a level in the hierarchy.
*PRO VERSION: In the professional version pairwise judgments can be made in the main level or for each participant or scenario. Select the *MAIN MODEL, a participant name or a scenario name from the Participant panel to activate the pairwise judgments for that particular model.
When a level is selected in the hierarchy the pairwise judgments are displayed in the Pairwise tab.
Select the relative judgment for each pairwise. The relative judgments indicate how much more important is one criteria the other. The following table describes the literal meaning of the pairwise judgments.
1 |
Criteria is equal in importance |
2-3 |
Criterion is weakly more important than the other criterion. |
4-5 |
Criterion is strongly more important than the other criterion. |
6-7 |
Criterion is very strongly more important than the other criterion. |
8-9 |
Criterion is absolutely more important than the other criterion. |
*PRO VERSION: In the professional version the rationale for the pairwise judgment can be documented in the Documentation panel.
When all of the criteria have been judged the criteria weights are calculated.
