Building Hierarchy

Building the hierarchy establishes the goal, objectives and sub-criteria used in making the recommendation. The criteria are organized into objectives with like criteria as sub-criteria to each objective. It is important to cluster like criteria under an objective to reduce the inconsistencies in the pairwise judgments.

The hierarchy is build using either the Hierarchy panel or the Diagram. The right-mouse button in either of these panels are used to add (or remove) criterion from the hierarchy. The hierarchy is organized by adding sub-criteria to existing criteria or by dragging and dropping existing objectives and criteria onto different parent objectives.
