Working with Multi-Maps
ConceptDraw MINDMAP Professional gives you a convenient way for working with large Mind Maps: you can send a topic together with all its subtopics to a new page as a new Mind Map. Such map is named multi-map. Topics on the different pages of the map can be linked among themselves by hyperlinks.
To send the topic to the new page, select it and do one of the following: |
Menu |
Choose the Send to New Page item from the Topic menu. |
Context menu |
Choose the Send to New Page item from the topic context menu. |

A new page will be created in your document. The name of this new page coincides with the name of the original topic.
On this new page, a new Mind Map is generated from the original topic: its topic is placed as the Main Idea, and its subtopics form a Mind Map. The original formatting of the topics is preserved, as well as the symbols and text notes.

In the initial page, the original topic is left, but its subtopics are no longer on this page. The topic receives a hyperlink which opens a new Mind Map developing this topic. |
In the new Mind Map, the Main Idea bears a hyperlink to the initial page from which it was generated. So, by double-clicking the central image you can return to the initial page. You can manipulate the new page as any other page in the document: change its place in the order, rename it if necessary, etc.
You can operate the pages and move between them easily and visually using the Page Navigator floating window. For more information, see the "Page Navigator" section.
