Saving Document
ConceptDraw MINDMAP lets you save documents:
- in their native format (.cdmm);
- save a document as template (.cdmt) for future use.
And besides, the Save As dialog lets you select any other supported format, and your document will be exported to it - see the "Exporting a Document" section for more details.
Saving Document
When you first time save the document, you can choose its name (by default, it's the name of the main idea) and location in the Save As dialog. If you already have saved this document, the modified document will be saved under its existing name.
To save a modified document under some other name, do one of the following: |
Menu |
Choose the Save As... item from the File menu. |
Keyboard |
Press Ctrl + Shift + S. |
Specify the new name and location in the Save As dialog. The active document will get a new name and will be stored in the specified location.
You can also save the documents on the FTP server. For more information, see the "Working with Documents on a Remote FTP-Server" section.
Saving a Document as a Template
You can save an active document as a template (.cdmm), and use it to create similar documents.
For this do one of the following: |
Menu |
Choose the Save As Template... item from the File menu. |
Keyboard |
Press Ctrl + Alt + S. |
The Save As dialog will come up. Specify a name for the template and save it.
You can also call the Save As dialog another way (see above) and then choose the file type MindMap Template Files (*.cdmt) in the drop-down list, specify a name for the template and save it.
