Line Properties

Lines are part of every topic, object, relation. Each line has a set of properties, which you can alter - color, weight, line style, etc.

In ConceptDraw MINDMAP you can change each of these properties individually by using the corresponding tool, or the Line & Fill floating dialog.

To open Line & Fill floating window, select the topic, object or relationship and do one of the following:
Menu	Choose the Line&Fill Properties item from the View / Dialogs menu. If relationship is selected, you can choose the Relationship item from the Format menu.
Context menu	Choose the Format / Line&Fill item from the topic or object context menu, or the Format Relationship item from the relationship context menu.
Keyboard	Press F8.

By default, all the floating windows are opened in the document, therefore to activate the window, simply click on the corresponding tab.

		The Line section lets you set the line style, its weight, color and type of endpoints for relations.
			The Color box allows you to choose line color from the current palette. Click the mouse to select the needed color from the palette. It will be shown in the Color field of the dialog. You can also choose the default color - white or click More Colors... to get to the Colors dialog.

The Colors dialog lets you see the current color and choose the new color from one of two palletes presented on the Standart and Custom tabs.

		The Style drop-down list contains the more used line styles: no line (#0), solid line (#1), dashed line (#2), and their numerous variations (17 styles are available).
				The Weight drop-down list offers the choice of 8 values of the line width.
						The Endpoints fields let you assign the type of arrowheads of the relations lines. You can choose endpoints separately for either of relation ends. ConceptDraw MINDMAP offers you the choice of 6 arrowhead styles.

In the Fill section you can set the foreground and background color, and also the pattern for selected closed figures.

You can also change the transparent of the pattern (0% is solid).

You can also make use of the corresponding buttons from the Format toolbar: Line Color , Line Weight , Line Style , Endpoints (for relations), Fill Color and Fill Pattern .

By clicking these buttons, the corresponding menu will appear to let you choose one of the most widely used variants. Not all of the possible variants are represented in some menus, so choose the "More..." for complete list - the Line & Fill floating dialog will be activated.

The all line properties can be changed at any moment. To change topic or relation properties, choose at least one topic or relation. If no object is selected, changes will be applied only to the objects drawed with drawing tools. New objects will be already created with the changed settings.
