Exporting Document
To use ConceptDraw MINDMAP together with other programs, you can export ConceptDraw MINDMAP documents to various formats.
Very often it's needed to view or print a document on different computers and platforms. In this case you can export your document to the PDF format.
By publishing your documents on the Web you can easily share it with many people.
To make a presentation you may want to use MS PowerPoint.
To insert your drawing into other documents (for instance, Word or PageMaker), you need to transform it into a file of some graphic format. To exchange documents with MS Visio users support for Visio document format is needed.
To present mind map in the form of Gantt Chart or for more detailed planning, you can export your map to MS Project XML format or open in ConceptDraw Project.
ConceptDraw MINDMAP is well equipped for these tasks.
Exporting Task List to MS Outlook
ConceptDraw MINDMAP allows you to export a list of tasks to MS Outlook.

To call the Export MS Outlook dialog, choose the MS Outlook Task List... item from the File / Export menu. |

If you have MS Outlook on your computer, a dialog will come up, where you can specify which tasks to export. You can check the corresponding items:
- Start Date: export tasks, that begin later than the specified date. You can set the period (current week, month, year) or the diapason from what on what date.
- Due Date: export tasks, which are due later than the specified date. You can set the period (current week, month, year) or the diapason from what on what date.
- Percent Complete: export tasks with the specified complete (0 - 100%): completed (100%), not less than, not more than, exactly.
- Duration: export tasks with the specified duration in hours or days: not less than, not more than, exactly.
- Priority: export tasks with the specified priority level (low, normal, high).
The ОК button allows to apply the choosed filter.
Press the Clear all filters button to reset all settings. |
Export to MS Project XML
Your ConceptDraw MINDMAP Professional document can also be saved as MS Project document.
The saved mindmap will transform into a project displayed as a Gantt chart. The main idea becomes a project, and its topics - tasks of the project. At this the hierarchy and all relationships between tasks are saved. If in ConceptDraw MINDMAP Professional topics have properties of tasks, these properties will remain unchanged in the project. Otherwise use MS Project default properties.
The Save As dialog will appear to specify the file name and its localization on the hard drive.
Exporting to PowerPoint Format
ConceptDraw MINDMAP Professional allows to export documents to the MS PowerPoint file format, and use your Mind Maps in PowerPoint presentations.
The Save As dialog will come up, asking you for the name of the file.
Having saved the file, you can open it in MS PowerPoint and continue working on it - add animation effects, sound, backgrounds, etc.
Exporting to PDF
ConceptDraw MINDMAP Professional allows to export your documents to Portable Document Format (PDF) which is widely used for exchanging and printing documents on various platforms and operating systems.
This format allows to preserve the correct look of your documents because the needed fonts are stored right in the PDF file. Also, in a PDF document you can search and copy text.
Hyperlinks, contained in the original document, remain working in the PDF file.
The Save As dialog will come up, asking you for the name of the PDF file.
Exporting to OPML (Outline Processor Markup Language)
ConceptDraw MINDMAP allows to export documents to the OPML file format.

To export the active document to OPML, choose the Export / OPML (Outline Processor Markup Language)... item from the File menu. |
The Save As dialog will come up, asking you for the name of the file.
Exporting to Outline
ConceptDraw MINDMAP lets you save your Mind Map in textual form - as Outline Data.
The outline reflects the structure of the map (the hierarchy of topics), and also the hyperlinks and Text Notes assigned to the topics.
In ConceptDraw MINDMAP, you can save the outline in the form of plain text, in .txt and .rtf formats.

For saving the active Mind Map in the outline form in .txt format, choose the Export / Text Outline... item from the File menu. |
The Save As dialog will appear. Specify the filename and location in it. After that, the Export to Text Outline dialog will come up to set the exported document properties:

- Use indents: this section lets you check whether to use indents in the list of topics. Using indents helps reflecting the structure of the map and shows subordination of topics. When this option is on, you can set the type of indents to be used:
- Tabulation: to indicate the subordinate topics by tabulation;
- Space: to insert the needed number of Space signs before the subtopics
- Include HyperLinks: if this option is checked, the outline will reflect the hyperlinks assigned to the topics. In HTML format, they will remain functional, and in the text formats the target address will be displayed and marked by the keyword ">>Link:".
- Include Text Notes: check this option if you want the Text Notes to be reflected in the outline.
- Use Numeration: if this option is checked, the hierarchy of the topics will be represented by numeration in the outline.

The Save As dialog will appear. Specify the filename and location in it. After that, the Export to MS Word Outline dialog will come up to set the exported document properties:

- Include HyperLinks: allows to include the existing links to the document.
- Use Numeration: allows to use the numeration of the pages in the document.
- Include Text Notes: allows enable pop-up prompts.
The map will be exported with consideration of the text formatting (font type and size, text color and style). |
Having done all necessary settings, press OK.
Exporting to HTML
ConceptDraw MINDMAP is well integrated with the Internet. By exporting your document to HTML you can easily publish it on the Web.
