Creating a New Document

You can create new documents in ConceptDraw MINDMAP. Anyone new document is opened in a separate window.

To create a new ConceptDraw MINDMAP document, do one of the following:
Toolbar	Click the New button on the Main toolbar.
Menu	Choose the New / Blank Document item from the File menu.
Keyboard	Press Ctrl + N.

ConceptDraw MINDMAP also lets you create the new document with the help of Brainstorming session or template.

You can also choose the new document creating method at the program opening on the General tab of the Preferences dialog.

Open a Document

To open a ConceptDraw MINDMAP document, do one of the following:
Toolbar	Click the New button on the Main toolbar.
Menu	Choose the Open item from the File menu.
Keyboard	Press Ctrl + O.

You can also open the document from the FTP server.

Start Dialog

At the start of the program will appear the Start dialog which allows to choose one of variants of the beginning the work:

1. Create a new map.
2. Create a map in the Brainstorming mode.
3. Create a map from template.
4. Open a new map in the Outline mode.
5. Open the existing map.
6. Open the last edited map.
7. Open the "Getting Started Tutorial".

If you don't want that this dialog appeared at the start of the program, check the "Don't show this dialog again".
