Additional Elements
Text Notes
The Text Note holds additional remarks concerning the topic. It is indicated by a Text Note iconĀ on the topic. The Note appears as a tooltip when you point to the Text Note icon with the mouse.
You can also open the Note floating dialog by one the following ways:

Choose the Text Note / Edit item from the topic context menu. |
By default, all the floating windows are opened in the document, therefore to activate the window, simply click on the corresponding tab.

At the adding the Text Note to the topic, the icon will appear. It will be visible both in the mindmapping mode and in the outline mode. Clicking on this icon will activate the Note floating dialog.
To delete a Text Note, select the topic and do one of the following: |

Choose the Delete item from the Format / Text Note menu. |

Choose the Text Note / Delete item from the topic context menu. |

The Text Note window displays the Text Note for the currently selected topic.
So, to add a Text Note, just select the needed topic and enter your note in the Note floating window.
If you need to edit a Text Note, select the topic and make the changes in the Note window. |
While editing text, you can use the standard operations: Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Select All, and also Spelling and Format Text commands.
All these commands are available from the Note window context menu. |

ConceptDraw MINDMAP lets you identify the Text Notes, thus facilitating the group work. You can enter your Nickname on the Edit / Preferences / General tab, and then your notes will begin with your Nickname.
Hyperlinks
ConceptDraw MINDMAP lets you link its topics, floating topics and callouts to documents, document pages, files or Internet pages, providing quick access to data of various kinds. A hyperlink can be assigned to any topic, floating topic or callout in your document.
You can assign and edit the hyperlinks by using the Hyperlink floating dialog.
By default, all the floating windows are opened in the document, therefore to activate the window, simply click on the corresponding tab.

You can assign the following types of links:
- Link to URL - allows to assign the link on the Web page;
- Link to Topic - lets you assign the link on the anyone document page or topic. The structure of the map is represented as the tree. To assign the link, simply choose the corresponding page or topic.
- Link to file and Link to Folder - allow assign the link accordingly on the anyone file on the disk or on the folder with files. You can enter in the text field or choose in browser the path to the file or folder, and also check will be this path Relative or Absolute. By default, the path is setted as relative, i.e. if you, for example, will assign the link on the anyone document and then will move the map and this document on the other place of the disk, the link will stay correct. In the case of the absolute address for keeping the links correct you need change their paths.
- Link to E-mail - allows to assign the link, which opening will automatically create message with setted address. You can enter the address in the field or choose it from the drop-down list of recently used e-mail addresses.

The icon will appear on the topic. It will be visible both in the mindmapping mode and in the outline mode.
