Adding Floating Topics
Developing a "mind map " we do not always clearly see what the final result will look like. We may not know yet where we should attach some tasks or we are not sure we may need them at all. That is why it would be easier to create a new topic first with no attaching it, and then place it to the needed position. ConceptDraw MINDMAP features such a possibility. The program allows to create "floating topics" that are not attached to anywhere. Any number of subtopics can be attached to the such topics.
The pointer will look like: . Move it to a free space and click the left mouse button. A new topic will appear:

The form of the topic can be changed by formatting lines, filling and text. These options can be enabled from the corresponding toolbars and menu commands.
To attach a topic to the another topic, simply drag it to the needed topic and release the mouse button.
Any topic can be turned to the floating topic.
To turn the topic to the floating topic, select it and do one of the following: |
Menu |
