Adding/Editing Text

The text editing mode allows to assign, edit and replace the text of the topics and callouts in ConceptDraw MINDMAP.

To activate the text editing mode, select the topic or callout and do one of the following:
Menu	Сhoose the Edit Text item from the Edit menu.
Context menu	Сhoose the Edit Text item from the context menu of the topic or callout.
Mouse	Double-click on the topic (callout) (if it has no hyperlink).
Keyboard	Simply start typing the text.
	Press F2.

When the whole text block is shown selected, you can replace it completely: just start typing the new text.
If you need to edit only part of the text, press an Arrow key or click anywhere on the text to show the insertion point.

To carry over to the next line, press Shift + Enter.

When you enter the text, the Text Auto Expand mode resizes the topic on the fly with respect to the dimensions of the text.

To quit the text editing mode when you finish editing the text, do one of the following:
Mouse	Сlick outside the edit box.
Keyboard	Press Enter.
	Press F2 again.
	Press Esc to quit the text editing mode without applying changes.

To express additional information or comments to the topics, you can add Text Notes to them.

The Text Notes is indicated by a Text Note icon . It appears as tip when you point to it with the mouse. It is easy to add and edit Text Notes in the Note floating dialog.
