Profile Automation

Schedule Profiles to Wash and Clean Automatically (Profile Automation)

With the wide range of automation options offered by Total Privacy 5.0, it couldn't be easier to protect your sensitive data and keep your system in perfect working order. The collection of Profile Automation options available will take care of everything for you automatically, so you can just sit back, safe and content in the knowledge that your privacy and computer activity is being well guarded by Total Privacy.

Total Privacy allows you to automate your washing and cleaning by two methods - by scheduling for a specific time and frequency or by scheduling to run when a specific system event (or events) occur.

To Schedule a Wash and Cleaning Profile to Run at a Specific Time

  1. If not already open, Start Total Privacy 5.0.
  2. Click on the Profiles tab of the Total Privacy Welcome Screen and note the Profile Automation Panel (as per screenshot above).
  3. Select the name of the Profile that you want to schedule and automate so that it is highlighted.
  4. Check the Schedule selected Profile to run at a specific time checkbox.
  5. To set up your automatic washing and cleaning frequency, click on the 'Change Settings' button and the Properties screen Schedule tab will be displayed (as at right).
  6. On this tab, select the frequency, time, days to wash and clean automatically as you prefer.
  7. The Settings tab contains additional options to control your washing and cleaning routine.
  8. Click on the Settings tab to set options for deleting or stopping the scheduled task (should it not complete within a set time, for example), choose to run automatic washes only when or if your computer is idle or only if your computer is running on mains power (rather than batteries).
  9. Click on the 'OK' button when finished choosing all options.

To Schedule a Washing and Cleaning Profile to Run Upon a Specific System Event

  1. Follow steps 1-3 above.
  2. Check the Schedule selected Profile to run on a specific event checkbox.
  3. To set up your washing and cleaning to run automatically when system events occur, click on the 'Change Settings' button and the Session Wash Settings screen will be displayed (as at right).
  4. On this tab, select the events for which you want to run washes when they occur. Check the relevant checkbox to run washes when
    • Windows starts.
    • Windows shuts down.
    • Note! Note: Because it is impossible to know whether the user is fully shutting down windows or just restarting, you need to select the action to take after completion of your automated wash. Choose from...

      • Wash, then show the Windows shutdown prompt
      • Wash, then restart Windows
      • Wash, then shutdown Windows
    • When any of Internet Explorer, Netscape/Mozilla/FireFox, AOL or Opera browsers close.
  5. Click on the 'OK' button when finished choosing all options.
  6. Note! Note: Total Privacy must be running in order to detect and capture these system events and automatically start scheduled washes.
