Mounting Protected Disk

Protected disks, for which "Permanent disk" mode is set, can be mounted automatically at StrongDisk Pro start or on pressing Hotkey. The Hotkey and "Automount permanent disks at StrongDisk start" mode can be specified on "General" tab of the "Options" dialog.

To mount a protected disk:

  • Switch to the Mount tab in the StrongDisk Pro main window.
  • Click Mount.
  • In the "Mounting a protected disk" dialog box
    • In "Disk image file name" field enter the name (with full path) of the disk image file to be mounted.
    • Set "Text password", "Electronic key" and "File-key" checkboxes according to parameters set during creation of the disk or during last change.
    • If you have checked "Text password" checkbox, enter the password for access to the protected disk in the corresponding field.
    • If you have checked "File-key" checkbox, enter the name (with full path) of the file in the corresponding field.
    • Choose a letter to be assigned to the disk from the Disk list.
    • Check the "Read-only" checkbox if you want the disk to be mounted in write-protected mode (works only with FAT disks).
    • Check the "Autostart programs" checkbox if you want documents and programs, which have shortcuts in Startup folder, to be opened automatically when the disk is mounted.

Initial "Autostart programs" checkbox state can be defined at "General" tab of the "Options" dialog box.
