Installing and Registering StrongDisk Pro

Installation Sequence

To install the StrongDisk Pro, simply run the SDProEng.exe installation application. Setup Wizard will start automatically.

Registration

To use StrongDisk Pro after the trial period is finished you will need to register the program. To complete this procedure enter your unique Serial Number in the Registration dialog ("Help" à"Registration" item of the main menu). The program will switch to a full functional mode.

Installing Drivers for Electronic Keys

StrongDisk Pro allows for using any electronic keys and smart cards that are PKCS#11-compatible. For working with any specific electronic key its driver should be installed in advance. You can download drivers for keys that have been tested by StrongDisk Pro developers from the «Download» section of www.StrongDisk.com Web-site. Drivers for other PKCS#11-compatible keys can be downloaded from Web sites of respective manufacturers. More details on supported electronic keys can be found in the e-keyinfo.txt file in the folder where StrongDisk Pro was installed.

Removing StrongDisk Pro

You can uninstall StrongDisk Pro by:

  1. Using standard Windows tools: "Control Panel"à "Add/Remove Programs"
  2. Launching the "Uninstall StrongDisk Pro" application from the "Start"à"Programs" "StrongDisk Pro" menu folder

Do not start uninstalling StrongDisk Pro by deleting the files and folders that contain it, since the uninstaller will be unable to find them and therefore will be unable to remove the information about StrongDisk Pro from the Windows configuration files. As a result, these files will be littered with non-actual data, and this may lead to failures in other applications.
