Changing Protected Disk Properties

Tabs for Mounted Disks

"Main window" has a separate tab for each of the mounted disks. The name of the disk (i.e. the letter that was assigned to it when it was mounted) and its label are shown on the tab title.

Switch to the corresponding protected disk tab to access the mounted disk properties.

On the tab you can:

  • see the name and the path to the disk image file;
  • browse the disk size and free space available information;
  • turn for the disk "Permanent disk" mode on or off;
  • dismount the disk.

The disk, for which the "Permanent disk" mode is set, can be mounted automatically at StrongDisk Pro start or when a hotkey is pressed. Hotkey and "Automount permanent disks at StrongDisk start" mode can be specified on the "General" tab of the "Options".

To set (or turn off) the "Permanent disk" mode

  • Switch to the StrongDisk Pro main dialog tab with the letter and the label of the disk.
  • Check (or uncheck) the "Permanent disk" checkbox.

When a permanent disk is automatically mounted the system presets the parameters of the password and electronic key usage that were set when the disk was mounted last time. If you change these disk parameters, you have to once mount this disk manually so that the system remembers the mounting parameters.

If you want to refuse mounting a protected disk click "Cancel". A confirmation dialog will open. If you want the disk that you have refused to mount to remain automatically mountable, click "Yes". Otherwise click "No".
