Automounting Disks
You can configure the StrongDisk Pro to automatically mount the protected disk when an appropriate electronic key is connected. Such protected disk will be mounted automatically when the electronic key is connected to a USB port. If the "Unmount all disks when the el. key is removed" option is on, the disks will be dismounted automatically when the electronic key is disconnected.
To create an automounting protected disk:
- Create a protected disk that is protected only with an electronic key, or change the parameters of an already existing disk so that only an electronic key is required to mount it. You can use an electronic key in standard mode as well as in protected mode
- Select the "Options"à"Automounting drives" menu item and press the "Add" button.
- Specify the path to the disk image file and mounting parameters in the "Add an automounting disk" dialog and press the "OK" button.
- After the "Verifying disk and key" dialog opens, insert the electronic key for the selected protected disk and press the "OK" button. If an electronic key is working in the protected mode, a dialog will appear prompting you to enter the PIN code.
Several automounting disks can correspond to one electronic key. All these disks will be mounted when that electronic key is connected.
To change the settings of an automounting disk:
- Select the "Options"à "Automounting disks" menu item, select the desired automounting disk from the list and press the "Properties" button.
- Make any changes to the settings that are appropriate and press the "Apply" button.
- After the "Verifying disk and key" dialog opens, insert the electronic key that correspond to the selected protected disk and press the "OK" button. If an electronic key is working in the protected mode, a dialog will appear prompting you to enter the PIN code.
To remove a protected disk from the list of auto-mountable disks:
- Select the "Options"à"Automounting disks" menu item.
