Add a Password to Multimedia Files
To protect your photos, video and audio files and add a password to your Multimedia files simply follow these steps:
- Browse into the desired folder where the multimedia files you wish to protect founds (Click on
or on File -> Browse photos, video and audio files... menu or Ctrl+b).
- If you wish to protect all the unprotected multimedia files under the browsed folder click on
or on File -> Protect All Photos,Video,Audio On Current Folder... menu or Ctrl+z.
- If you wish to select the ultimedia files to protect on your ows simply select the desired files on the thumbnails window. To select more than one file please select the files while Holding CTRL to select/deselect more than one multimedia file. After selecting the desired multimedia files click on
or on File -> Protect Multimedia - Photos,Video,Audio (Lock)... menu or Crtl+p
- Follow the instructions on the screen in order to exectute the protection.
- On the protection dialog you'll be asked if you wish to add dummy files. Dummy file is an alternate multimedia file (and optional - with alternate password) you can add to the real multimedia file. By defualt (unless you set a dummy password), in case unauthorized person will try to open the file (via the software or via windows) all he will see will be the dummy multimedia file!
Optional If you set a dummy password, in the future if someone will force you to show him the content of the files you'll be able to apply the dummy password and all he will see will be the dummies and not the real multimedia files you protected!!! If you wish to add the dummy multimedia files click Yes, otherwise click No. In case you selected less dummy files then real multimedia files the dummy filess will be apply to the real multimedia files by rotation (some/all dummy files will be used more then once). In case you select more dummy files then real multimedia files some of the dummy files will not be used.
* By defualt (unless you set a dummy password), in case unauthorized person will try to open the file (via the software or via windows) all he will see will be the dummy multimedia file!
Optional If you set a dummy password, in the future if someone will force you to show him the content of the protected files you'll be able to apply the dummy password and all he will see will be the dummy files and not the real multimedia files you protected!!!
* The original dummy files (the one you selected) will not be affected - only a copy of the dummy files will be saving with the real multimedia files.
