Start Up

Enable "Show Welcome Screen" to show the Welcome Screen each time Password Generator Professional starts up.

Generation

Set the timeout value to control how long you would like Password Generator Professional to attempt to find enough unique passwords if the mask specified does not generate enough passwords chosen as quantity. This could happen e.g. if grabbing passwords from a dictionary and specifying to force only grabbing passwords matching the selected minimum and maximum length, and the dictionary file does not have enough passwords matching this.

Custom Seed

Use this to configure what type of seed you want to use, either random or a custom one. By using a custom seed, you will generate the same passwords every time you set it to the same value.

Output

The column seperator is used when outputting passwords to a text file, and also when opening passwords previously saved, e.g. if previously used '|' as the column seperator, and you now choose to use ';' and then try to open the file with '|' as seperator, the program will not know how to divide up the password, username, phonetic etc. columns when loading.

Output to Multiple Files

If enabling this when outputting, Password Generator Professional will divide up the passwords into seperate files, adding a "-#" tag after the filename, e.g. "-1", "-2", "-3" etc.

We recommend to use this option when generating millions of passwords, as the resulting password file will be very large and hard to manage as word processing programs will use a lot of time to work on the files. By seperating the passwords into multiple files, you can more easily work on each file.
