How To Use?
NetShareWatcher allows you to easily monitor network shared folders and permissions. NetShareWatcher alerts anytime an user sets a share ACL to "Everyone" or some other global group that violates your data access policy as well as disable this shared folders automatically if you have selected appropriate feature in the settings.
NetShareWatcher has user friendly interface and is easy to use. Being configured once, it will regularly notify you on network sharing detection with restricted permissions assigned.
How it works?
Step 1. Configure default settings
Configure NetShareWhatcher behavior from general settings. On this dialog you can configure default settings like default authorization information, mail settings, restricted groups and default actions on any restriction violation event.

Step 2. Add Targets
There two ways to add targets:
- Browse your network from "Network" tab, locate the host which you want to monitor, then right click and from popup menu select "Add Target..." as shown on the picture bellow or just double click on it.
- Press "Add Target" button. (green plus)

Step 3. Configure your target settings.
Configure your target settings on the dialog which appears after step 2.
On every tab of "Add Target" dialog you can see "Use Default" radio button which is choused by default. It means that target will use settings specified in "General Settings" which mentioned in Step 1. You can switch this button OFF and customize target settings.
