Moving/Copying Private Files
Magic Folders hides your files by filtering file requests against your list of Private folders/files. Therefore -
If you move or copy a file from a Private folder to another folder that isn't hidden then the file become visible. In EMF the file is decrypted during the moving and copying process so that it is usable at the destination.
In Magic Folders you can rename a Private folder, but it will no longer be hidden because it's name won't match anything in your Private folder list. EMF will not let you rename a Private folder because doing so would leave the files in that folder encrypted and therefore unusable. If you need to rename a Private folder then remove it from your Private folder list first.
