Authentication
Authentication verifies a user. KeyChain employs single and dual authentication. Single: You may launch KeyChain on your computer by entering your Master Pass Phrase. Dual (more secure): You may launch KeyChain on your computer by entering your Master Pass Phrase but you are also required to insert your configured USB flash drive. This second layer of protection ensures that if your Master Pass Phrase is compromised a secondary device will still be needed to access your accounts.
To modify your level of authentication, click on the Authentication button from the main user interface. Note: At any time you launch KeyChain directly from your configured USB flash drive (when using on another computer) and enter your Master Pass Phrase, you are in effect using Dual Authentication. |
