Create New Vault

Step 1:

Select your drive letter: This "drive letter" will be what your encrypted vault will be recognized as. For example, if your drive is opened you will see the new "drive letter" under "My Computer".

Please enter the location to store the data to: This will dictate the location of your encrypted vault. For example, you can install it on your local drive or secondary drive.

Step 2:

Set the local password for your drive: This will allow you to put in a password that is different from your master password. Note: If you do not fill out this information, your vault will be protected with the same password you’ve set as the master password.

Select Password for Drive

Step 3:

Drive size: This will allow you to set the size of the encrypted vault. Note, this is dependant on the size of the vault you have purchased. If you are using the FREE 30mb vault, you will not be able to exceed 30mb.

Method: This is the type of encryption you wish to use. Encryption ranges from 8bit to 448 bit depending on what method you choose.

Key length: Choose the bit of encryption that you desire. The less encryption the faster your drive will perform.

Format this drive manually (advanced): This allows you to manually format your drive so that you may choose the file system of your choice. This is not recommended for beginners.
