IntelliOptimize GIF/JPEG

The IntelliOptimize feature helps you with choosing the best file format and color and compression settings for your internet images. Based on a variety of decision steps WebGraphics Optimizer chooses the best settings for your file. You can control how WebGraphics Optimizer will make those decisions:

IntelliOptimize GIF/JPEG

Applies to
You can make different default settings for all variations and for batch processing (Professional only). Every time you load a new image WebGraphics Optimizer chooses different settings for all variations you display, depending on the settings you have done.

Data Doctor Recovery Digital Pictures Digital photo recovery Photo undelete software

Choose one of the following file format options:

Always GIF
Indicates that all images will be saved in GIF file format.

Always JPEG
The same as Always GIF, but for JPEG file format.

Depends on color depth
WebGraphics Optimizer will choose GIF when the color depth is less or equal 8 bits / pixel (256 unique colors). Otherwise it will take JPEG for the given variation.

Smallest file size
WebGraphics Optimizer calculates at first the file size of both JPEG and GIF images and then chooses the file format with the smallest file size.

Tip:
All decisions WebGraphics Optimizer makes to choose a file format depend on the GIF and JPEG settings. You can define these settings for each variation and for batch processing (Professional only).
