Opening Images

To open an image choose "File" > "Open" command.

Opening multiple images

Hold the SHIFT key and select multiple files to open.

Dragging images to Photo Lab

Select one or more files to open, then drag files to Selteco Photo Lab. Each image will open in a separate window.

Importing images

To add an image to existing document choose "File" > "Import Image". The image will appear as a separate, movable layer.

File Formats:

You can open the following files:

File Type File Extension Comments
Selteco Photo Lab *.phl native Photo Lab format that stores all formatting information
JPEG *.jpg, *.jpe; *.jpeg the most popular format for compressing real life images like your holiday photos
PNG *.png the best format for web graphics: buttons, backgrounds, bullets etc.
TIFF *.tif universal format to store both real life and cartoon like graphics
BMP *.bmp same as above
GIF *.gif limited to 256 colors but yields great results when compressing cartoon like graphics
Adobe Photoshop *.psd multilayer graphics format used to exchange information between different applications
