Selecting & Adding Images

Selecting Images

To open RoboEnhancer, you select the images you wish to apply the transformations to in ACDSee or Windows Explorer.

To select images in ACDSee:

  • Open ACDSee.
  • Select a folder with images.
  • Do one of the following:
    • Hold the Ctrl key and select the individual images in the file list.
    • Select the first image. Hold the Shift key and select the last image in a range of images.
  • Click the RoboEnhancer button on the toolbar.
  • Once images are selected and displayed in the image list you can choose to apply the transformation by leaving the box to the left of the image checked. RoboEnhancer will omit the image if the box is cleared.

To select images in Windows Explorer:

  • Open Windows Explorer.
  • Select a folder with images. The folder must also contain an existing RoboEnhancer script.
  • Do one of the following:
    • Hold the Ctrl key and select the individual images in the file list.

After you have selected images and opened RoboEnhancer, you can add images to the ones already selected.

Note:

Opening RoboEnhancer by dragging images onto an existing script can also be accomplished from most Open/Save dialog boxes or from the desktop.

Adding Images

Once you have an initial selection of images, you can add further images to the batch you wish to apply transformations to. There are three places where images can be added: from the Images tab, through the Preview script dialog box, and by dragging onto the image list.

To add images from the Images tab:

  • Click the Add button.
  • Select the folder with images.
  • Select one or more images.
  • Click Open.

To add images through the Preview script dialog box:

  • Click the Scripts tab.
  • Click either the Edit button or the New button.
  • Click the Preview button.
  • Click the Select button below the preview image.
  • Click the Add button to open the Images dialog box.
  • Select a folder with images.
  • Select one or more images.
  • Click Open.
  • Click Finished.

To add images by dragging:

  • Click the Images tab.
  • From another file list or the desktop select the images you wish to add.
  • Drag the selection to the Image List in the Images tab.

You can now create a script to apply a series of transformations to the images you have added.

Note:

You can not add images by dragging them from the ACDSee window from which you opened RoboEnhancer.
