Pointer Tool Pointer Tool

(the default tool of the program) enables you to estimate the (x, y) coordinates of a certain point on the image as well as enabling you to perform a number of common operations from a pop-up menu. In order to activate the tool, press the Pointer Tool button in the Tools Toolbar.

The tool's properties

The tool's properties window contains a number of commands through which it is possible to control the tool's properties. To view the tool's properties window press F2.

Zoom Dropdown Box - With this box it is possible to set the size of the picture as it will be displayed in the picture window. In other words, it enables you to set the picture's display ratio on the screen (in proportion to its original size in pixels).

How to use the tool

Placing the mouse's pointer on a desired point on the picture will display its coordinate in the status bar of the same picture. When the pointer is above an open picture, right-clicking on the mouse will open a pop-up menu which enables you to perform a number of common operations (such as zooming in, zooming out, copying, cutting, erasing and so on).
