Optics
This sub-menu contains effects from the field of optics such as lenses, mirrors and more.
To get to this sub-menu, select the Effects menu and then select the Optics sub-menu.
- Mosaic - An effect which changes the texture of the picture and makes it look as though it were built with rectangular mosaic tiles. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
- Box Width - This command sets the width of the tiles from which the mosaic will be built.
Box Height - This command sets the height of the tiles from which the mosaic will be built.
Filter Type Dropdown - The filter which will be used. The filter decides the final texture of the picture.
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.
In order to activate the function press on the Optics -> Mosaic sub-menu under the Effects menu.
- Lens (1) - An effect which causes the picture to look as though it were reflected through a magnifying lens. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
- Level Slider - With this command you can control the intensity of the effect. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the intensity while moving the regulator to the left will decrease it.
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.
In order to activate the function press on the Optics -> Lens (1) sub-menu under the Effects menu.
- Lens (2) - An effect which causes the picture to look as though it were reflected through a magnifying lens with an especially large magnifying quality.
In order to activate the function press on the Light -> Lens (2) sub-menu under the Effects menu.
- Mirrors - An effect which causes the picture to look as though it were reflected through many small mirrors. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
- Box Width - This command sets the width of the tiles from which the mosaic will be built.
Box Height - This command sets the height of the tiles from which the mosaic will be built.
- Mirror Mode Dropdown Box - With this box it is possible to set on which axis will the effect be operated on; the horizontal axis or the vertical axis (or both).
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.
In order to activate the function press on the Optics -> Mirrors sub-menu under the Effects menu.
