Neon Sign Effect
Issue: Create a Neon Sign Effect using Photo Pos Pro tools (figure no. 1)

With Photo Pos Pro tools you can easily create special effects. To create a Neon Sign Effect simply follow these steps:
- Start with creating 400 x 150 pixels new black empty image (Click on File -> New menu or Ctrl+n, figure no.2).

- Click the fore color box (found on the right hand side of the screen) and select the white color. Click OK (figure no. 3).
- Click the back color box (found on the right hand side of the screen) and select the white color. Click OK (figure no. 3).

- From the Tools toolbar choose the Shape Tool - . Press F2 or and the Shape Properties window will open. Follow these steps:
- Select the left-most button from the Shape Automatic Styles toolbar ("Solid" Style, figure no. 4-A).
Select the Shape Card Index (figure no. 4-B).
- Select "Geometric Shapes" from the Shape Library dropdown list (figure no. 4-C).
- Select the Rectangle on the preview window (figure no. 4-D).

Use the mouse to draw a piece of rectangle shape (figure no.5).

- Click on the Effects -> Light -> Neon Light… menu to open the Neon Light Effect dialog box.
Set the Glow slider value to 25, set the Intensity slider value to 95 and click OK.
- Drag the image to fit in to the desired place on the background. Click Enter when finished to cancel all selections (figure no.6).

- Choose the Text Tool -
, Click on the center of the empty image with the mouse left button - this will open the "Add Text" dialog box.
- On the "Add Text" dialog box type in the desired text. To get a good effect choose big font size (40 or higher). Click "OK" to finish (figure no.7).

- Click on the Effects -> Light -> Neon Light… menu to open the Neon Light Effect dialog box.
Set the Intensity slider value to 90, set the color to Orange (Red=255, Green=128, Blue=0) and click OK.
- Drag the text image to fit in to the desired place on the background. Click Enter when finished to cancel all selections (figure no.8).

- From the Tools toolbar choose the Shape Tool -
. Press F2 or and the Shape Properties window will open. Follow these steps:
Select the left-most button from the Shape Automatic Styles toolbar ("Solid" Style, figure no. 4-A).
Select the Shape Card Index (figure no. 4-B).
Select "Common Shapes" from the Shape Library dropdown list (figure no. 4-C).
Select the Heart shape on the preview window.
- Use the mouse to draw a piece of heart shape (figure no.9).

- Click on the Effects -> Light -> Neon Light… menu to open the Neon Light Effect dialog box.
Set the Glow slider value to 25, set the Intensity slider value to 90, set the color to Light Red (Red=255, Green=128, Blue=128) and click OK.
- Drag the heart image to fit in to the desired place on the background. Click Enter when finished to cancel all selections (figure no.10).

- From the Tools toolbar choose the Shape Tool -
. Press F2 or and the Shape Properties window will open. Follow these steps:
Select the left-most button from the Shape Automatic Styles toolbar ("Solid" Style, figure no. 4-A).
Select the Shape Card Index (figure no. 4-B).
Select "Arrows" from the Shape Library dropdown list (figure no. 4-C).
Select the > style arrow on the preview window.
- Use the mouse to draw a piece of arrow (figure no.11).

- Click on the Effects -> Light -> Neon Light… menu to open the Neon Light Effect dialog box.
- Set the Intensity slider value to 95, set the color to Pink (Red=255, Green=0, Blue=128) and click OK.
- Drag the arrow image to fit in to the desired place on the background.
- Click Ctrl + C (Or Edit -> Copy menu) to copy the arrow image.
- Click Ctrl+ F (Or Paste As Float Selection button - found on the upper shortcut toolbar) to paste a copy of the arrow piece and drag it to the desired place on the background.
- Repeat step 24 one more time.
- Click Enter when finished to cancel all selections.
- Finally you should get the Neon Sign image (figure no. 12).

[Optional] You may use the stars effect (Founds under Effects -> Magical -> Stars... Menu) to enhance the sign (figure no. 13,14).
