Motion

This menu contains effects which can give the illusion of motion to a picture or objects on a picture. For example, you can create the illusion of a moving car, a turning wheel, an earthquake and more.

To get to this sub-menu, select the Effects menu and then select the Motion sub-menu.

  • Wind Blur - An effect which creates the illusion of motion in the picture (from a side view). With this effect it is possible to cause objects in the picture to look as thought they were photographed moving at a high speed or to cause the entire picture to look as thought it was photographed from a moving vehicle. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
    • Angle Slider - With this command you can control the angle of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the angle of the movement while moving the angle to the left will decrease it.
    • Frequency Slider - With this command you can control the frequency of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the frequency and moving it to the left will decrease it.
      Level Slider - With this command you can control the intensity of the effect. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the intensity while moving the regulator to the left will decrease it.
    • The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.

In order to activate the function press on the Motion -> Wind Blur sub-menu under the Effects menu.

  • Zoom Blur - An effect that creates in the picture the illusion of a very rapid movement towards the spectator of the picture. With this effect it is possible to cause objects in the picture to look as though they were moving rapidly towards the viewer, to cause object to look as though they were exploding and also to give the spectator of the picture the illusion as though he/she were thrust forward at a rapid speed. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
    • Angle Slider - With this command you can control the angle of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the angle of the movement while moving the angle to the left will decrease it.
    • Frequency Slider - With this command you can control the frequency of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the frequency and moving it to the left will decrease it.
    • Level Slider - With this command you can control the intensity of the effect. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the intensity while moving the regulator to the left will decrease it.
    • The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.

  • Radial Blur - An effect which creates the illusion of spinning movement in the picture. With this command it is possible to cause objects in the picture to look as though they were spinning at a high speed. For example, it is possible to cause a wheel to look as though it were turning at a high speed. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
    • Angle Slider - With this command you can control the angle of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the angle of the movement while moving the angle to the left will decrease it.
    • Frequency Slider - With this command you can control the frequency of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the frequency and moving it to the left will decrease it.

  • Slow Motion Earthquake - An effect which creates in the picture an illusion resembling that of an earthquake. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
    • Level Slider - With this command you can control the intensity of the effect. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the intensity while moving the regulator to the left will decrease it.
    • Angle Slider - With this command you can control the angle of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the angle of the movement while moving the angle to the left will decrease it.
    • Frequency Slider - With this command you can control the frequency of the movement. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the frequency and moving it to the left will decrease it.
