Drawing and Painting Issues

Draw a semi-transparent line

  1. From the Tools toolbar choose the Line Tool - Line Tool. Press F2 (or on the Properties icon at the right side of the upper toolbar) and the Line Properties window will open.
  2. Set the desired line thickness, style and etc.
  3. Fill opacity: 50 to get 50% semi-transparent line.
  4. Use the mouse to draw a line.
  5. Drag & resize the line to fit in to the desired place.
  6. Click 'Enter' to finish and fix the line.

Draw arrows

  1. From the Tools toolbar choose the Line Tool - Line Tool. Press F2 (or on the Properties icon at the right side of the upper toolbar) and the Line Properties window will open.
  2. Set the desired line thickness, style, opacity and etc.
  3. Select the desired arrow type from the type dropdown list
  4. Use the mouse to draw the arrow.
  5. Drag & resize the arrow to fit in to the desired place.
  6. Click 'Enter' to finish and fix the line.
  7. For more complex arrows use the shape tool (select the arrows shape library).

Draw using color transitions

  1. From the Tools toolbar choose the desired Drawind/Painting/Text tool .Press F2 (or on the Properties icon at the right side of the upper toolbar) and the Tool Properties window will open.

  3. Auto Styles Toolbar - With this toolbar it is possible to select a color/style out of the number of standard automatic style that have been pre-defined (selecting an auto color/style will cause, in effect, all of the commands to set themselves to their pre-defined values).
  4.  Select the desired Color Transition from the Auto Styles Toolbar.
  5. Now, use the mouse to draw/paint - the tool will draw with color transitions using the fore color and the background color to create the transitions.
  6. For more colorful color transitions click the gradient box (found on the right-hand bottom of the screen) and open the custom gradient window. Select the desired color transition (professionally called gradient) and click ok - the tool now will use this color transition.

Draw using patterns

  1. From the Tools toolbar choose the desired Drawind/Painting/Text tool .Press F2 (or on the Properties icon at the right side of the upper toolbar) and the Tool Properties window will open.
  2. Select the Colors and Styles Card Index.
  3. Select the Custom Style (Advanced) option.
  4. Use the style box to select custom pattern. For more info about styles please click here.
  5. Now, use the mouse to draw/paint - the tool will draw using the pattern.

Draw using textures

  1. From the Tools toolbar choose the desired Drawind/Painting/Text tool .Press F2 (or on the Properties icon at the right side of the upper toolbar) and the Tool Properties window will open.
  2. Select the Colors Card Index.
  3. Select the Custom Style (Advanced) option.
  4. Use the style box to select custom texture. For more info about styles please click here.
  5. Now, use the mouse to draw/paint - the tool will draw using the texture.

Draw a chat balloon/bubble

  1. From the Tools toolbar choose the Shape Tool - Shape Tool. Press F2 and the Shape Properties window will open. Follow these steps: Select the Shape Card Index.
  2. Select Chat "Balloons" from the Shape Library dropdown list.
  3. Select the desired balloon type on the preview window. 
  4. Use the mouse to draw a chat balloon.
  5. [Optional]: Use the mouse to resize/move the chat balloon to the desired size/location.
  6. Choose the Text Tool - Text Tool, Click on the center of the empty image with the mouse left button - this will open the "Add Text" dialog box.
  7. On the "Add Text" dialog box type in the desired text, select the desired style and click ok to confirm.
  8. [Optional]: Use the mouse to resize/move the text to the desired size/location on the balloon.
  9. Click 'Enter' to finish and fix the text.
