Colors
This sub-menu contains many effects in the field of color. The effects under this menu primarily affect the texture of the colors in the picture and enable the creation of impressive and special color textures.
To get to this sub-menu, select the Effects menu and then select the Colors sub-menu.
- Solarize - This effect creates a reversal of defined areas in a picture. The effect creates impressive, psychedelic and special color textures. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
- Red T.H. Slider - With this command it is possible to control the threshold value of the red channel. Every value in this channel higher than the threshold value will be replaced with its opposite (reversed) value. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the threshold value and moving it to the left will decrease it.
- Green T.H. Slider - With this command it is possible to control the threshold value of the green channel. Every value in this channel higher than the threshold value will be replaced with its opposite (reversed) value. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the threshold value and moving it to the left will decrease it.
- Blue T.H. Slider - With this command it is possible to control the threshold value of the blue channel. Every value in this channel higher than the threshold value will be replaced with its opposite (reversed) value. Moving the regulator to the right will increase the threshold value and moving it to the left will decrease it.
- Link Checkbox - By marking this checkbox you can cause all three of the regulators Red, Green and Blue to move in unison.
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.

- Colorize - An effect which creates a picture with only one hue (similar to a picture that is seen to the viewer through a colorized glass). The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
- Red Slider - With this command you can control the degree of (the) levels in the Red channel. Moving the regulator to the right will increase its levels (in percentage) while moving it to the left will lower its levels (in percentage).
- Green Slider - With this command you can control the degree of (the) levels in the Green channel. Moving the regulator to the right will increase its levels (in percentage) while moving it to the left will lower its levels (in percentage).
- Blue Slider - With this command you can control the degree of (the) levels in the Blue channel. Moving the regulator to the right will increase its levels (in percentage) while moving it to the left will lower its levels (in percentage).
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.

- Xolorize - An effect that creates spectacular psychedelic color textures in the picture and makes it look extremely colorful. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
- Color T.H. Slider - with this command you can control the threshold value of the color, beyond which will be exchanged with another color.
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.
In order to activate the function press on the Colors -> Xolorize sub-menu under the Effects menu.
- Posterize - An effect that causes the reduction of color in a picture, which makes it look "flat". The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
Bits Red Slider - With this command you can control the degree of (the) levels in the Red channel. Moving the regulator to the right will increase its levels while moving it to the left will lower its levels.
Bits Green Slider - With this command you can control the degree of (the) levels in the Green channel. Moving the regulator to the right will increase its levels while moving it to the left will lower its levels.
Bits Blue Slider - With this command you can control the degree of (the) levels in the Blue channel.
- Moving the regulator to the right will increase its levels while moving it to the left will lower its levels.
Link Checkbox - By marking this checkbox you can cause all three of the regulators Red, Green and Blue to move in unison.
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.

- Fade to Gray - An effect that enables the raising/lowering of the quantity of color in a picture. The effect's action is similar to the color regulator on the television. The function's dialog box has a number of commands which enable the control of the function's operations:
- Saturation Slider - With this command you can control the quantity of color in an image (similar to adjusting the color in a television set). Moving the regulator to the right will increase the quantity of color in an image while moving it to the left will decrease the color in an image. Moving the regulator to the far left will entirely remove color from the image and the result will be a Gray-Scale image.
- The dialog box also has the following joint commands: OK Button, Preview Button, Cancel Button, Help Button, Advanced Button (Opacity Slider, Blend Mode Dropdown, Normal Button), Auto Preview Checkbox, and the Use Texture Checkbox.

- Metalize - An effect that changes the color in a picture to metallic colors. The colors' hues are set according to the Fore Color and Back Color defined by the color toolbar of the program.

- RGB -> BGR - An effect which replaces the color channels in a picture. The resulting picture is identical to the original picture save for the new color texture that was created.

- Duotone - An effect which creates a picture with one hue resembling a picture that was printed on an old printer with a single hue ("tone"). The hue for the picture is set according to the Back Color defined in the color toolbar of the program.

- Black & White Photograph (GrayScale) - This function is used to convert a color picture into a gray-scale picture with 256 shades of gray, which is similar to a black and white photograph.
