Color Sampler Tool

The Color Sampler enables you to sample an exact color from the picture into the Fore Color Box or the Back Color Box. In order to activate the tool, press the Color Sampler button in the Tools Toolbar.

The tool's properties

The tool's properties window contains a number of commands through which it is possible to control the tool's properties. To view the tool's properties window press F2.

Color (For Html) - This characteristic contains the color of the point on which the mouse is pointing (the data is for reading purposes only). The data is displayed in a hexa-decimal value in the format used by web pages.
How to use the tool

in order to sample a color from the picture, select the Color Sampler tool. Afterwards, use the mouse to point on the spot from where you wish to sample a color (placing the mouse over the dot will display the color in a hexa-decimal value used for Html pages, in the tool's properties box). To sample the color into the Fore Color box, click on the mouse's left button. To sample the color into the Back Color box, click on the mouse's right button. After sampling the color into the color boxes, it is possible to use it with any one of the paint tools or any other tool that makes use of these colors.
