Zooming & Showing/hiding Grid
You can change the scale at which the image in the Image Edit window is displayed.
To increase the scale, do one of the following:
- On the View menu, click Zoom In.
- Press Ctrl + +.
- On the toolbar, click the Zoom in
button.
To decrease the scale, do one of the following:
- On the View menu, click Zoom Out.
- Press Ctrl + -.
- On the toolbar, click the Zoom out
button.
To set the maximal scale (1000%), do one of the following:
- On the View menu, click Zoom 10:1 (max).
- Press Ctrl + Alt + +.
- On the toolbar, click the Zoom 10:1
button.
To set the minimal scale (100%), do one of the following:
- On the View menu, click Zoom 1:1 (min).
- Press Ctrl + Alt + -.
- On the toolbar, click the Zoom 1:1
button.
Notes.
- Zooming affects only the currently edited image (the image in the active window).
- The scale of the currently edited image is displayed in the status bar.
- The initial scale at which the image is displayed can be set from Options window. See the "Change Paint Express options" page for details.
- The same zooming rules can be applied to change the scale of the image displayed in the View Search Results window. See the "Search for icons, cursors, and bitmaps on your computer" page for details.
To show/hide the grid
Do one of the following:
- On the Draw menu, click Grid.
- Press Ctrl + G.
- On the toolbar, click the Show/hide grid
button.
Notes.
- The grid delimits individual pixels in the image. It is displayed for the image with a zoom factor of 4 or greater.
- The action affects only the currently edited image (the image from the Image Edit window in the active window).
- The same rules can be applied to show/hide the grid for the image displayed in the View Search Results window. See the "Search for icons, cursors, and bitmaps on your computer" page for details.
