Line Tool
The Line tool allows to draw straight lines.
The following steps show how to activate and use this tool:
- On the Drawing Tools box, click the Line
button.
In response to this action, the tool becomes activated. The Option Selector box shows all available widths of the Line tool:

- In the Option Selector box, select the appropriate width of the Line tool. You can choose from 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 pixels width.
- Note. The Line tool's width can be changed anytime while the tool is activated.
- Select tool's colors (foreground and background colors). See the "Foreground and Background colors" page for details.
- Click the image where you want the straight line to start.
- To draw with the foreground color, click the left mouse button.
- To draw with the background color, click the right mouse button.
- Holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor to the other end of the line.
- Release the mouse button to end the straight line.
Note. To draw a perfectly horizontal, vertical, or 45-degree diagonal line, hold down SHIFT while dragging the cursor.
