Eraser Tool

The Eraser tool allows to erase an area of the image.

The following steps show how to activate and use this tool:

  • On the Drawing Tools box, click the Eraser Eraser button.

In response to this action, the tool becomes activated. The Option Selector box shows all available shapes and sizes of the Eraser tool:

  • In the Option Selector box, select the appropriate shape and size of the Eraser tool.

Note. The Eraser tool's shape and size can be changed anytime while the tool is activated.

  • Click the image where you want to start erasing.
  • Holding the mouse button down, drag the Eraser over the desired area of the image.
  • Release the mouse button to end the erasing.

Note. The eraser color is:

  • For 1, 4, 8, and 24-bit bitmaps - the current background color. See the "Foreground and Background colors" page for details.
  • For icons, cursors, and 32-bit bitmaps - the current screen color. See the "Screen and Inverse colors" page for details.
