Changing Image Size
To change the size of the image
- Do one of the following:
- On the Edit menu, click Resize Image.
- Press Ctrl + R.
- On the toolbar, click the Resize Image button.
In response to any of these actions, the Resize Image window opens:

The current image's color depth and type are displayed in the title of the window.
The current image's width and height are displayed in the corresponding boxes in the Current Size group.
- In the New Size group, type the new width and height of the image in the corresponding boxes.
- To scale the image when resizing, perform the following steps:
- Check the Scale the image to fit the new size box.
- In the Resize Type box, select one of the available resizing types: Biliniar Resample, Bicubic Resample, or resizing with No Interpolation. The comparative quality and speed characteristics for these types are provided below:
- Biliniar Resample - quality: good, speed: medium;
- Bicubic Resample - quality: best, speed: slowest;
- Resizing with No Interpolation - quality: worst, speed: fastest.
- To set additional resizing options, click the Options... button.
Note. Additional resizing options have effect only on images with specific color depth and type, and only for Biliniar Resample and for Bicubic Resample. For simplicity, Options... button becomes enabled only when necessary. See "Change resizing options" page for details.
- Click the OK button.
Note. The icon/cursor image is not resized if the icon/cursor already has an image with the same format (same size and color depth).
