Key Frames & Shortcuts
Key Frames
This very advanced option allows a path to be defined for the dots to travel across during the morph, other then the default straight line. The advantage to using this feature is the ability to create much more dynamic and flowing morphs, instead of a direct transition from picture 1 to picture 2. To edit a different key frame, scroll the preview slider bar to a different position and the dots will jump to their locations for that frame. Each key frame location is designated by a white tickmark surrounded by black on the top of the slider bar .
Note that dot delay should not be used with key frames, since it will probably not produce the results you want, and anything done with dot delay, could also be done with key frames. Also, it is recommended to use pictures of the same dimensions so that dots do not get lost off the edge of the picture window when scrolling through the morph.
Shortcuts
Almost everything that can be done by dragging and clicking can also be done with a keyboard shortcut, such as ALT + O to draw dots in the preview window, or moving dots around with the arrow keys. ALT + Left Clicking is a very quick way to add dots as well.
Also, try Right Clicking in the picture box, preview box, on dots, or inside a dot selection box for helpful popup menus.
Useful shortcuts for previewing various frames are ALT + Left and Right Arrow keys, which will move the preview slider backward and forward one frame, and ALT + A, which will draw the current frame in the preview window.
