Adding Images

When you click the Add Image icon, Add an screen will open and allow you to navigate through your computer to select images. To select multiple images at once, click on the first then hold down your Ctrl key while you select any others. Then Click the open button. If you want to choose all the images in a folder, select the first then hold down the Shift key and select the last one. This process will highlight all the images from the first to the last. Once selected click the Open button and all the images will be added to your image list.

All images which are added to an animation must be the same dimensions. If an image is not the same dimensions, GIF Animator show a window like the one below. Choose either option and click the OK button.

There will also be a screen which comes up that shows many options for the Animation Pallet (the colors used in the image). The maximum number of colors you will be able to use is 256, this is limited by the GIF file type, not our program. If you use JPEG images, you may see a little color loss but it shouldn't be too bad. You can choose to use the other settings, however, the default settings should work for most animations. (Most likely, you will not need to change the Dither Method (lower section)). If you want to use these same setting for all the images in your animation, click the "Make this the default" selection at the bottom.
