Installation

Please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Start your system. System must be running Windows XP/NT/2000 either Workstation or Server.
  2. Log on as a local administrator or use an account with similar privileges.
  3. Setup Instructions
    1. If you have received this in self extracting file run CacheBoost.exe to install the CacheBoost.
    2. If you received this version of CacheBoost on a CD ROM Setup will run automatically if auto run option is enabled. Else Open the Start-menu and choose "Run…" Enter the drive letter of your CD-ROM-drive, followed by a backslash "\" and the name of the installation program "Setup.exe", e.g. "F:\Setup.exe". It will start the setup process
  4. Follow Setup Instructions. Default are best.
  5. After setup  is completed successfully the CacheBoost service is installed and launched automatically.

If you are installing the new version of CacheBoost on the old version or Registered version over the trial version, please close all running instance of CacheBoost Control Panel so upgrade will be swift and fast. For best results uninstall CacheBoost and then install again.
